feelin-funkie asked: can you explain to me why the "animal liberation, human annihilation" view makes any sense? I am all for animal liberation, and I'm not the biggest fan of our species, but I just can't wrap my mind around this concept. Killing humans for animals..when we collectively can try and change the opinions a mass of people have on animal liberation. I think spreading knowledge on what goes down in factory farms alone would be better than death to the people that work in them. I just want you to elaborate

Hey! Thanks for taking the time for going through my blog. Also, great that you are in support of animal liberation!

In regards to the “animal liberation, human annihilation” post, I can only give you MY views on it, as its not my picture.

I was 16 years old when I first entered a meat processing factory and what I saw shocked the life out of me. To see animals given no respect or dignity and being hacked away at by workers who to me at the time resembled zombies still brings tears to my eyes. 13 years on and nothing has improved. Animal liberation will not come any time soon and that haunts me. I feel utterly ashamed to be a part of mankind that uses and abuses animals in such a way.

You say we should spread knowledge about what goes on in factory farms etc… I thought we’d already done that?? That knowledge is there for people to see in masses yet animals are still dying. I’m not advocating violence or telling people to go and kill animal abusers (after all, as a movement, animal liberationists have never killed anyone) but if a vivisector/hunter/slaughterhouse worker etc got what was coming to them, I for one wouldn’t lose any sleep.
